Passenger killed in I-90 wreck

An unidentified man died Friday night in a traffic accident on Interstate 90 between North Seventh and North 19th avenues.

Highway Patrol Trooper Cherie Lofton said the man was a passenger in a red Isuzu Rodeo sport utility vehicle that was traveling west on the highway when the accident occurred around 7:45 p.m.

“It swerved into the median, we don't know why yet,” Lofton said Saturday. “It rolled and came to rest on the passenger side facing north in the median.”

The driver of the vehicle, an unidentified female, was taken to Bozeman Deaconess Hospital. Lofton said both were wearing seat belts.

No other cars were involved in the accident.
