Yellowstone river south of Livingston open
The Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks Commission Thursday reopened most of the 12-mile stretch of the Yellowstone River between Carter’s Bridge, south of Livingston, and the U.S. Highway 89 Bridge, northeast of Livingston.
However, the entire west channel - from the head of Siebeck Island to the confluence of the east and west channels near the bandshell in Sacajawea Park n is still closed, due to ongoing concerns about the safety of the Ninth Street Island bridge.
The east channel is open to all recreational use through that stretch of river, according to the Montana Department of Fish, Wildlife & Parks.
